Sentinel Article Regarding 2005 ShareFest

On Saturday, October 23, twenty-three local churches banded together to volunteer and take part in various community improvement projects across our county. The Sentinel ran an article featuring several of those projects: Volunteers Give Time To Help Those In Need.

2006

Food Drive

The food drive coordinated by Twin Lakes Church in connection with ShareFest Santa Cruz County 2006 elicited more than one favorable response from local media. The Santa Cruz Sentinel described how 50,000 pounds of food was collected in the effort. The Register-Pajaronian noted the comments of Second Harvest Director Willy Elliott-McCrea: “This is truly faith made manifest and a miraculous quantity of food.”

Letter to the Editor From Harbor High School Principal

As one of its projects for ShareFest Santa Cruz County 2006, Twin Lakes Church chose to adopt Harbor High School. After ShareFest, Harbor High’s principal, Nancy Tocchini wrote this letter of thanks to the Sentinel.
